Cumberland Trail State Park
Challenge yourself to a nature hike at the Cumberland Trail State Park. On June 22,1998 the Cumberland Trail State Park was created by Tennessee State Parks. It is Tennessee's 53rd State Park and the only state park of it's kind stretching 300 miles. The park cuts through 11 Tennessee counties from the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park on the Tennessee-Virginia-Kentucky border, to Signal Point near Chattanooga. In September 2002, the park was officially renamed Justin P. Wilson Cumberland Trail State Park in recognition of the dedication and leadership Wilson put forth in his efforts to build the trail.
