Norris Lake, Tennessee is without a doubt a great place to spend those hot summer days! There are at least 6 marinas that offer houseboat rentals that are affordable priced. Renters must be at least 21 years of age by most marinas. Some marinas also require a secondary boat with each houseboat rental. Reservations are highly recommended. Houseboats generally include 6 or more bedrooms with queen size beds, sofa sleepers, full size bathrooms, pillows, blankets, fully equipped kitchens with dishwasher, washer/dryer, patio furniture, lounge chairs, gas grill, TV/VCR/DVD combo units, game consoles, indoor/outdoor stereo with CD player, 6 person hot tub, water slides and more!

Before you start your day on the lake, be sure to pack all of your food and drinks for the week, bring your bathing suits and change of clothes and bring your tubes and water floats!  Don't forget to also bring plenty of sunscreen and check the weather temperature. Before booking a houseboat rental determine the size of your group. Houseboat rentals range in size from as large as 16 x 76 and offer plenty of space that can accommodate up to 12 passengers or more. These luxury houseboats can also carry 200 gallons of fuel. The price for a midweek  houseboat rental starts on the low peak lake season at $1,000+ with a full tank of gas plus a damage deposit on your credit card if required. Be sure to ask about discounts for return houseboat renters. It never hurts to ask! Reservations are highly recommended and book very quickly. Especially on holiday weekends.

Houseboat renters are required to pay for the gas used on return of the boat. Please remember to pick up all of your belongings and pick up your trash. Life jackets are provided for houseboat rentals based on maximum capacity of the boat. Generally it's a one-size fits all life jacket. If you have a small child ask for a children's life jacket. Life jackets for children under 12 are not provided by some marinas.

House boat rentals on Norris Lake generally have a 3, 4 and 7 day package. Departure time vary with each marina. Some marinas also offer stationary house boat rentals. Rates do not include taxes or and deposit at time of reservation. Deposits range from $500 - $800 depending on the marina. Generally the reservation deposit becomes the damage deposit at time of boarding and is refunded if no damages are found.
