We strive to make Whitman Hollow Marina your vacation destination. We offer
the highest quality and newest watercraft for rentals on Norris Lake. It is
not our obligation to inform renters rules of the waterway. Not any
different than a motorcyclist does from state to state is to check the
laws. We take great pride in our ELITE FLEET of watercraft and are not any
different than a rental car agency! If you damage a $50,000 boat ! Yes you
will be charged! Renters are all adults and need to be responsible.

Worst experience renting a pontoon boat from this Marina. No explanation of safety rules or noted paint on the side of the boat. As a result we got a citation for not having a life jacket on while tubing, were not aware, and upon returning the boat they accused us of the paint and would not return our deposit. Refused to return any phone calls or emails. What?! Coming to Norris should be hassle free and relaxation. They definitely put a bad taste in our time there.

Do not rent from this facility unless you have money to spare. When picking up the pontoon boat, young lady did not provide operating instructions, did not go over the marinas policies and procedures, and failed to ensure safety equipment was installed. I did a through walk around of the boat (as well as 2 other family members) and documented all of the damage. When I returned the boat, the dock manager stated the 1/2" wide by 2 foot long red stripe of paint on the upper level sidewall panel was not there before. I replied that it must have been because we did not go anywhere or park anywhere that would have touched the upper deck. Then he stated that the front of the pontoons were damaged. I replied they were damaged when I picked the boat up and it was recorded on the rental report. They refused to give me my deposit and said they would further evaluate. After numerous calls to the owner, Check, I receive an email from one of his employees stating the damage exceeded my deposit and therefore I would not get any money returned. Even though they were able to buff off the red stripe (I know because they sent me pictures) and the pontoon damage was accounted for. Their response was "it wasn't that bad". I know this is a bunch of crap as we parked the boat 3 places during our 4 day rental. 2 of which were at other marinas for gas (and we all know every marina has dock assistants that help park to prevent property damage) and the third was at our rented house which did not have a roof and had plenty of protection. The damage they claim was on the nose of each pontoon. I would have had to drive the boat directly into the dock. Not likely. Please don't rent from this marina. It will ruin your vacation. If you must, be sure to take pictures of everything and document the most minor scratch. I was told when I was doing my pre rental inspection that scratches were not considered damage. Don't listen to that BS. That is how Whitman Hollow makes more money.
